Personal Trainers
Erin has been a Certified Personal Trainer for eleven years and a Licensed Massage Therapist for fourteen years. Prior to joining One on One Fitness, she worked at the Santa Barbara Back and Neck Care Center for four years treating pre and post-surgery patients using body work and exercise therapy. Erin works with a general fitness clientele, seniors with disabilities and athletes who want to push themselves. She says, “I enjoy teaching people how to work out in a way that they do not injure themselves but while enjoying a variety of workouts. Massage and personal training have enabled me to have a greater understanding of biomechanics which enables me to properly set up programs to best suit the needs of my clients. My focus is to help people increase their fitness level while maintaining and improving their posture.”
Angelica Ochoa has seven years of personal training and Pilates experience. As an ovarian cancer survivor, her experience battling the disease has given her the inner strength and courage that she uses when training. Angelica says, “I credit my life-long dedication to fitness for allowing my body to fight back and heal quickly. I believe that in addition to working out, eating well is very important to healthy living and great fitness.” Angelica is certified as a Personal Trainer through The American Council of Exercise. Also, she is certified through IMX Pilates, Spencer Pilates, Stott Pilates Mat and Reformer, Turbo Kick and PiYo. Currently she is a personal trainer and teaches Pilates classes at One on One Fitness and is a Pilates instructor at the Montecito YMCA.
Lisa is a Certified Personal Trainer who began her professional fitness career after successfully battling a long term back injury. As a sports enthusiast who enjoys horseback riding, motocross and playing in the Santa Barbara roller hockey league, she understands the importance of exercising and eating well. Lisa focuses on core and functional fitness but is also trained in pilates, yoga and aerobic activities that she incorporates into her training sessions. Whether working with her individually or as part of a group, Lisa is committed to helping clients reach their fitness goals while having fun and maintaining a positive body image.
D.J. has been working with Fitness and Pilates for over 10 years. She is a Pilates teacher and professional dancer having performed with Pink, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce and more. Being a performing dancer has brought such a awareness and education to the importance of movement and injury prevention. D.J. is very passionate about helping her clients achieve a healthy lifestyle. Pilates Certified through Body Arts and Sciences International (BASI) and Core Dynamic. D.J. believes Pilates should be a part of everyones life. Staying strong is one of the best ways to have a healthy body and mind. D.J. focuses her training sessions on balanced muscles building, body alignment, flexibility and balance. She is dedicated to others well-being and she truly cares abut them. Wendy Sanders is a Westmont graduate, and a long time Santa Barbara local. She has been fitness oriented since childhood, and was first certified as a trainer through ISSA in 1999. She has been training since then, and has since completed her 200 hour yoga teacher certification through White Lotus. She has worked with individuals of all ages and all fitness levels. She is currently working on her certification from NASM, to be completed by the end of summer 2015. For those who feel better working out with friends, she offers an array of classes in both fitness and yoga Monday through Friday. For groups of two to five, she will design a class to fit your groups specific needs at a time that works for you! Wendy is a great listener, and her main objective is to help you reach your personal fitness goals at a price and pace that fits your lifestyle.
Kim is a Westmont College graduate with over ten years of experience as a certified personal trainer. She specializes in lifestyle motivation, spending her free time as a competitive tennis player and hiking enthusiast. Kim enjoys working with her clients to help them achieve their fitness goals.
